44th Annual Hash Bash
Michigan celebrated its 44th annual Hash Bash in Ann Arbor on April 4th. The festivities continued into the night at Blind Pig where RJA Music worked as an audio engineer for the numerous bands. The music line-up consisted of everything from jazz, to folk, to soul, featuring Laith Al-Saadi, Rootstand, and The Macpodz.
A very special guest, John Sinclair, took the stage numerous times throughout the night, performing several pieces of poetry. Sinclair, most known for an unjust court sentence in the early 70's, gained so much popularity that John Lennon wrote a song about the man in 1971 rightfully titled, "John Sinclair".
It was an honor to meet and work with such a large cultural icon. Click the link below to hear the original song written and performed by John Lennon!
